| The Sunshine State Acoustic
Music Camp is held each year at the Boyd Hill
Environmental Studies Park in St. Petersburg, Florida on the
second weekend in October. I taught
singing there for four years. |

The classes take place mostly outside under
beautiful towering oak trees. The intimate settings
allow for uninhibited learning.
The lunch hour is reserved for students to
share what they are learning. On Saturday night there
is an instructor's concert in the camp hall.
Yes, it is still hot
in Florida this time of year, but the breezes are usually
ample.

Here I am with songwriting instructor Jak
Kelly,
He participated in the 2002-2003 Keeping Company...
concert series. We taught songwriting together
at the 2003 camp! |

|
| This camp is a lot of fun for students and
instructors alike. Hats are off to Charlie
Groth, who
started this camp more than 10 years ago. Each year it
grows to be just that much more than it was the year
before! Charlie listens to the students and staff when
preparing for the next camp.
